My day with Flipboard (App Review)

While I am not fan of iOS, I didn’t think much of having flipboard on Android, but I decided to give it a go, and to my surprise, I actually found an app I don’t mind obsessing over.

Simple really, with it’s neat flip page animations and hi-res photos, viewing Flipboard for android is beautiful to go through, and once you’ve got the hang of Flipboard’s settings, you’ll realize that it’s one app that can possibly make up for many.

I was a bit skeptic about using it because iOS cross overs to Android usually don’t match up with Android getting the short end of the stick in that regard, but I found myself only needing flipboard for all my day to day news feeds and social blogging/sites, which I must add, they do an amazing job integrating the flipboard format, and the fact that I can make post directly from Flipboard is a huge plus.

I never thought I’d have a new enjoyable viewing experience on both these sites, yet somehow viewing them on Flipboard feels as if I am looking at a brand new website all together.

I almost counted it off because I didn’t see a page for Androidandme, but that was my own fault for jumping the gun without using it more often, all I had to do was hit search and enter the Site of my choosing and up comes the options to add it to my flipboard feed.

With a grand UI and so many outlets to choose from thanks to them having a rss feed reader, I gotta say, I gotta use Flipboard as my day to day reader over the others. Though, I do have one issue with it, with it being such a flashy app, you’d think they’d have a even better widget, yet I was left feeling Meh about it.

If they some how made a widget like that of pulse and or taptu, this app will be perfect all around, but hey, it’s a “leak” app I am reviewing here. With it working on most android devices, if I was using the play store method of rating I’d give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars, only because they don’t give me the option to give it a 4.5.
